IDS Next’s restaurant management software solution FortuneNext 6i R&B has now enabled The Biere Club (which opened its first outlet on Bengaluru’s Vittal Mallya Road three years ago) to serve its patrons better.

Based on the patrons’ response from guests, its management launched another outlet in Whitefield in 2013. It sports the ambiance of a contemporary English pub, and houses The Biere Chophouse, an old English-style grill house.

With this certification, Micro Sun & Solutions PLC and Global Hospitality Holdings can now sell IDS Next’s world-class software to a growing hospitality industry across the African nation.


The Ethiopian Revenues and Customs Authority (ERCA) is an autonomous federal agency that is responsible for collecting revenues from customs duties and domestic taxes. According to ERCA guidelines, all sales register users (transaction done via POS) have to configure their fiscal printers to fulfill several obligations pertaining to the country’s taxation policy. Once the fiscal printer is configured as per ERCA norms, it ensures accurate taxation by recording every taxable transaction. IDS Next rolls out two new mobility apps

Hospitality technology solutions provider IDS Next has rolled out two new mobility apps - Easy Dine and Easy Check-in, as part of it’s strategy to invest in developing futuristic solutions for the Indian market. Easy Dine is an intuitive app that allows hotel staff to take orders quickly and accurately, and raise a KOT even while standing by the guest. The Easy Check-in app enables hotel staff to complete check-in formalities even while escorting the guest to their room.
“This year has been very encouraging and full of actions for IDS Next in terms launching new solutions, entering new geographies and acquiring new clients. Both our new apps, as well as our small hotel software, PAX, have received good response from the market. Can Your Small Hotel Benefit from Hotel Software?

With new hotel projects coming up across Sri Lanka and Maldives, hospitality properties are witnessing stiff competition in terms of attracting guests, serving them better and ultimately staying profitable. Additionally, today’s guests are demanding for facilities like free wi-fi during their stay. If they are happy with your hotels service expect good reviews and a positive word of mouth online. If your guests are unhappy or in any way feel they did not get value for their money, negative comments can actually cause you to lose business. 

 The core of the matter is thus hotels, big and small need to respond faster to their guests and stay strongly focus on delivering quality service. While bigger hotels can deploy their significant resources to engage in online marketing, small and limited service hotels are most likely to face constraints in finding and retaining trained manpower, accessing online distribution channels, ensuring financial transparency and others. Managements of small hotels also assume that software is expensive and requires constantly maintenance. Others feel that software available in the market is meant for large hotels and not suited to their needs. This need not essentially be true. Read more
