Former Pegasus CEO, Mike Kistner Joins RezNext as Board Member

Michael Kistner has over 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry, online operations and technology. He is also the past Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Pegasus Solutions, Inc.   Under Kistner’s leadership, Pegasus has been recognized as the world’s leading distribution switch for the hotel industry.

Mike Kistner was earlier the CIO and Senior Vice President e-Commerce, at Best Western International before joining Pegasus.  Here he pioneered the first system-wide ‘free to guest’ internet access.  He also brought Best Western online, through their award winning internet booking engine.
Kistner served in various senior executive, operational, internet and technology positions at Cendant, now Wyndham Hotels.  While at Cendant, Kistner successfully implemented the industry’s largest property management system implementation to date, 6,000 properties in 18 months.  He led Cendant’s internet division, brought to market one of the largest and first consumer data warehouse, having consumption detail data on over 100 million travellers.

With the Payment Application Data Security Standards (PA DSS) v2.0. Certification, IDS NEXT’s Hotel ERP becomes the first Indian Hotel ERP Solution to receive the certification.

PA DSS was formerly known as Payment Application Best Practices (PABP) and is a global security standard created by the Payment Industry Security Standards Council for software vendors who develop payment applications. The standard is designed to enable software vendors to develop secure payment applications and prevent third parties from storing sensitive data such as credit card numbers beyond a stipulated time. The PA DSS is an effective method to protect cardholder’s data.
